500g bag Wattie's frozen Broad Beans
1/2 cup light cream for cooking
1/2 cup water or vegetable water
salt and pepper
Tips
Try this also with Wattie’s peas, baby peas or minted peas for a delicious Pea Purèe.
Method
1. Cook Wattie’s Broad Beans according to the instructions on the bag and drain reserving about ½ cup of the vegetable water.
2. When beans are cool enough to handle remove bean from skins. Place beans into a blender or food processor and discard skins. Process beans with vegetable water or hot water and light cream until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Reheat the purèe in the microwave before serving as a side dish to your favourite meal.
